Build small sustainable clay homes for earthworms. Inspired by the exhibition Age of Nature, we shape homes for worms that can be buried in the soil or used in compost. Let’s create a great place for them to live!

The Black Diamond - The Great Diamond Hunt
Armed with a compass, map, flashlight, and adventure bag, The Great Diamond Hunt takes curious children and their adults through the library's buildings. The treasure hunt is free and is especially suited for children aged 6-12 and their adults. Pick up a free adventure bag from the library shop in The Black Diamond.
Designmuseum Danmark
The Family Workshop invites children and adults to embroider small Easter “guessing letters” (gækkebreve), combining Danish tradition with Japanese craft heritage. Together, we will create personal pieces that bring together play, focus and storytelling.
Embroidery is characterised by repeated patterns and calm, rhythmic stitching, with an emphasis on both function and aesthetics.
You will take your finished gækkebrev home, ready to be sent to someone who can take part in the guessing game.
The Royal Library Garden
Equipped with a free experience box, the whole family can go on a secret hunt in the Library Garden. Meet a famous king, a thoughtful author and many more historical characters between the garden's animals and plants. Go on a bird safari, design a statute, be queen for a day, listen to the garden and much much more. Pick up the experience box from the library shop. For kids aged 5-11.
Glyptoteket
During the Easter holidays, the Glyptotek invites families to explore art through hands-on making. The museum’s spaces are transformed by artist Alia Farid, where large plastic nets and palm-like structures create an imaginative setting.
Inspired by ancient Egyptian bead nets once believed to offer protection, visitors can create their own colourful versions using modern materials. Along the way, the activity introduces stories about the origins of materials – from living organisms to plastic beads – linking past and present through tactile experience.
Part of the Glyptotek’s family programme, the event offers a relaxed way to engage with art while encouraging creativity in a unique museum environment.

Experimentarium
Soap Bubble Festival
Step into the magical world of bubbles at the Bubblearium. Dance together in a rain of bubbles, earn a diploma in bubble tricks, and watch spectacular bubble shows with international soap bubble stars. At the top of Experimentarium’s large interactive rooftop terrace you can test your own bubble equipment or try the special gear and watch the bubbles drift out over the city, sparkling in the spring sunshine.

Archaeological Workshop
The skeletons rattle in the Archaeological workshop. Here you can take a closer look at the animals living in Copenhagen about 300 years ago. Help investigate bones, skulls, horns, and teeth from animals of the old digs. For children all ages accompanied by an adult. From 2-4 April, 10am-2pm.
Naturcenter Amager Strand
Naturcenter Amager Strand is hosting an open house during the Easter holidays with activities centred on spring life by the beach. Children and adults can explore nature up close and discover both local plants and the small creatures living among them.
Using simple equipment, visitors can search for minibeasts in the soil, beneath stones and among leaves and plants. There will also be opportunities to learn more about the vegetation found along the shore and to look closely at how plants are put together. Activities include making seed bombs, pressing plants, shaping small creatures in clay and creating cards using colours from nature.
The event takes place throughout the Easter holidays and admission is free.

Eggzotic Easter
Hop into an EGG-stra fun Easter at the Zoo!Meet adorable baby animals, test your knowledge in a real poo-quiz, and dive into the new Zoo Mission 'The Lepard' and learn more about leopards, tigers, and lions. Collect cool fabric badges and become one of the Zoo’s important Nature Heroes.

Illusions are in bloom this spring! Explore rooms that expand perspectives, immersive installations, and photo opportunities – sprouting with colourful flowers, eggs, and butterflies. Join the big Easter Egg Hunt throughout the museum and count eggs to collect a fun prize!
Expect plenty of fun and play in a setting bursting with spring energy!
Natural History Museum of Denmark
What does the inside of an egg look like, and how different can eggs really be? This Easter, families are invited to explore the remarkable world of eggs and feathers through a hands-on event about some of nature’s most fascinating animals.
The event introduces visitors to egg-laying species including toads, snakes, birds and even dinosaurs, highlighting how eggs vary across the animal kingdom. Visitors can also see some of the world’s largest and smallest bird eggs and take part in an egg quiz to guess which animal laid which egg.
The programme also explores feathers in all their variety. From dinosaurs to modern birds, visitors can discover how feathers have developed over time and learn what animals use them for, including warmth, camouflage, display and flight.
The National Museum of Denmark
The Expedition Workshop invites children and families to discover the stories of some of history’s most adventurous explorers. From icy polar landscapes to outer space, the programme highlights the people who set out to explore the unknown.
Through hands-on activities, visitors can try their own skills as explorers. Build a raft inspired by Thor Heyerdahl, construct a pyramid like those studied by Carsten Niebuhr, or design a personal space badge inspired by astronaut Andreas Mogensen.
On selected days, storytelling sessions bring the expeditions to life, offering insights into the courage, curiosity and determination behind these journeys.

SMK - National Art Gallery
Easter at the Children’s Workshop
This Easter, visitors are invited to explore patterns in the Children’s Workshop. Inspired by Anna Thommesen’s colourful tapestries, they can discover the colours of spring, cut out their own snowdrop letter accompanied by a teaser poem, and create fun and intricate patterns using a variety of materials.
Family Tour: Woven rugs resembling a labyrinth? Visitors can trace the common thread through triangles, squares, and circles, moving curiously through the museum. Along the way, they may gather inspiration to create their own snowdrop letter (decorative paper cut-outs) in beautiful Easter colours.
The tour is designed for children aged 4–10, but everyone is welcome.
Reffen Street Food
Reffen welcomes visitors for Easter with street food, activities and a lively atmosphere by the waterfront. Throughout the holiday, guests can explore the food stalls while taking part in a range of activities.
The programme includes an Easter egg hunt and creative elements designed for both children and adults. The setting offers a relaxed space where food, play and social experiences come together.
Easter at Reffen provides an opportunity to enjoy outdoor experiences and discover Copenhagen’s street food scene in an informal and vibrant environment.

Easter Fun at Tivoli
Make this Easter holiday extra special with a family day at Tivoli Gardens! Meet soft, cuddly Easter lambs, join Barnaby Bear for playful pranks or visit the animals from “In the Forest of Huckybucky! Go on an egg hunt among vibrant Easter decorations Use the Easter Map filled with clues to find the eggs. Once you have found all the eggs and figured out the word, submit your Easter Map at Little Tivoli to receive a small Easter surprise. Children have to be accompanied by an adult.

ARKEN Museum of Contemporary Art
ARKEN invites you to enjoy creative experiences for the whole family. Every day between 9:00 and 12:00, there are fun and engaging activities for children, along with food and drinks.
Jump on alien-shaped bouncy castles and create your own aliens with bunny ears at ARKEN Kids. Get creative in the workshop, or “knit outside the box” in the Kenneth Rasmussen exhibition between 11:00 and 15:00 throughout the Easter holidays.
All activities are drop-in, and materials are free of charge.
Bakken
During the Easter holidays, Bakken opens the season with a programme of entertainment for all ages. Set in the scenic Deer Park, visitors can enjoy live performances, family-friendly shows and a wide range of rides and games.
The programme includes appearances by popular children’s characters and energetic stage shows featuring music, dancing and interactive elements. Alongside the entertainment, guests can explore the park’s many attractions, from classic carousels to more thrilling rides.
As the world’s oldest amusement park, Bakken provides a lively and historic setting for Easter activities, with much of the entertainment freely accessible throughout the park.
Cirkusmuseet (the Circus Museum)
Cirkusmuseet inviterer til påskeferie med oplevelser for hele familien. Her kan børn og voksne både opleve trylleshow, prøve kræfter med cirkusdiscipliner, gå på cirkusjagt i udstillingen og være kreative i museets værksted.
På udvalgte dage kan publikum møde unge trylletalenter og opleve den kendte tryllekunstner Anders Lilleøre, som præsenterer showet og selv optræder. Derudover er der ´cirkusleg, hvor hele familien kan afprøve blandt andet trapez, jonglering, linedans og kolbøtter med vejledning fra museets instruktør.
I udstillingen kan børn gå på opdagelse blandt kostumer, rekvisitter og fortællinger om livet i og uden for manegen. Der er også mulighed for at klæde sig ud, se film og lave påskepynt og cirkushatte i det kreative værksted.

Get ready for an egg-ceptional Easter full of family fun and activities at the Open Air Museum. Easter holiday program is packed with egg-citing activities for both young and old. Roll eggs, play traditional games or fish for and decorate eggs. Those with egg-stra energy can race in soapbox cars in an egg race or join our egg relay. Say hello to our adorable and cute animals and meet the real Easter Bunny.

Easter at Kronborg Castle
Experience royal stories and Easter traditions at Kronborg. Go on an Easter egg hunt with your family, look for sheep in the castle courtyard, and join the exhibition FEST - the Danish word for party - to get a taste of what it was like to party like a Renaissance king.
The Viking Ship Museum
Go on the scavenger hunt, The Mysterious Shipwreck and follow the traces of the ship and search for answers to some of the same questions that fascinate researchers. Like the maritime archaeologists, you’ll uncover clues and gain insights into the wreck. Along the way, clues, objects, and stories bring you close to kings, pirates, and merchants, each of whom plays a part in the tale of the ship and the people who used the sea for trade and power in the Middle Ages. Meet the archaeologist who needs your help to find the tiniest traces of the world’s largest cog hidden in the sand and water.

Explore the pop‑up exhibition The Mystery in the Deep and learn about the discovery and excavation of two remarkable shipwrecks and gain insight into the work involved in documenting, analysing, and understanding ships from the past.
