Copenhagen Sprint - World Tour Cycling
21–22 June, Copenhagen Sprint – Denmark’s new international cycling race and part of the UCI WorldTour – rolls out from Roskilde and finishes in the heart of Copenhagen. You can join in – either by watching along the route or by taking part in the many activities happening around the race.
Public bike ride
On Saturday 21 June from 11:00 to 14:00, everyone is invited to cycle the 11 km car-free route through Copenhagen at the free public bike ride. You can join the route at eight different locations. In the evening, the Danish Cyclists’ Federation hosts People’s Bike Race by Night – a unique experience starting at the National Gallery of Denmark.
Cycling festival
At the finish area in Østre Anlæg, the Cycling Festival invites the whole family to a weekend packed with racing, music, food and activities. There’ll be kids’ races, e-cycling, creative workshops and live shows – and you can follow the race on the big screen in the park.
On Rådhuspladsen, the large EXPO showcases the bikes, gear and mobility solutions of the future – plus free repairs in mobile bike workshops.
You can also visit Kulturhus Indre By on Saturday for a swap market, creative workshops and reuse-focused family activities.
Cheer Zones
Around the city, cheer zones such as Sankt Hans Torv and Nørrebros Runddel offer big screens, street food and great atmosphere as the elite riders race towards the finish line.
