The water in Copenhagen harbour has been clean enough for swimming since 2001. The Islands Brygge Harbour Bath opened in 2002 and was the start of a new era for the once industrialised and polluted harbour. Today, there is more than 10 swimming zones.

The hilly landscape in the campus square – resembling a floating carpet - solves bike parking playfully and innovatively. Overlooking the Karen Blixen Plads is the Tietgen’s Hall of Residence – a student dormitory construction.

Ride your bike through the small paths of Nature Park Amager. The nature park is home to many different animals. The cattle help to stop weeds and invasive plants from spreading, regulating the ecosystem, and promoting biodiversity.

The district Bellakvarter is a residential and a business area situated next to the large congress venue Bella Center. Relax in Bella Urban Garden, check out the activity rooftop on Emma Gads Vej 11, and try the 16-meter-long slide on your way down!

Ørestad is the largest urban development project in Copenhagen. New residential areas are still rising in Ørestad City, where you can experience award-winning buildings by Bjarke Ingels Group - recreational urban spaces and corporate headquarters.

Cross the highway on the bike bridge and ride into Ørestad Syd. Here, many of the buildings are frontrunners for sustainable construction, recycling, and upcycling. You'll find '8 House', the Resource Rows, and the UN17 Village.

Nature Park Amager is right before your eyes. If you have time, you can bike across the Amager savanna, enjoy a beautiful sunset, or simply relax under the birch trees. You can even camp out under the stars or in bookable shelters.

Havnevigen is an exclusive residential area with a small beach, Strandvigen. Next to Havnevigen is Nokken; allotment gardens with creatively self-built houses with artistic flair. Have fun exploring the area.

Bryggebroen, built in 2006, is Copenhagen's first cycle and pedestrian bridge, now used daily by more than 25,000 cyclists and pedestrians.

At the entrance to Amager Nature Park, you find Ballonparken - a small housing community with red wooden houses dating back to 1872. Right next to it, you'll find a historic air balloon hangar (no public access) functioning as a riding hall today.
