The New Year's Dip

Foreningen Vinterbad Bryggen once again invites everyone to its major event, “Nytårshoppet” (The New Year’s Dip), taking place on Tuesday, 31 December 2025.

The event is open to everyone – both members and non-members – and participation is free of charge.

All are welcome to celebrate the turn of the year with a thrillingly cold dip. Participants are encouraged to arrive in good time. The site will open at 11:30, and the event will end at 13:00.

Shortly before 12:00, a collective countdown will take place, and everyone will enter the water exactly at 12:00 noon. The association’s two saunas will be open, but capacity is limited.

Please note that changing facilities are limited. The deck area by the pools may be used.

PLEASE NOTE: Bottles and alcohol are not permitted in the pool area.
PLEASE NOTE: If the red flag is raised on the day, the event will be cancelled.
