Louisiana Literature

Four days of readings, conversations and literary experiences with leading Danish and international authors.

Louisiana Literature is an annual literary festival held at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Humlebæk, bringing together acclaimed writers from Denmark and around the world. Across four days, visitors can experience readings, interviews, performances and conversations that place contemporary literature centre stage.

The festival has established itself as one of Northern Europe’s leading literary events. Taking place throughout the museum, concert hall and sculpture park, it offers a distinctive setting where literature meets art, architecture and landscape.

Each year, more than 40 Danish, Nordic and international authors participate in a programme that combines literary discussions, performances and cultural experiences for a broad audience.
