Christmas lights, winter magic, ice skating, and gastronomy at Kongens Nytorv

The opening will be marked on Friday, November 14, at 5:00 PM, when Hotel d’Angleterre lights up its world-famous Christmas façade and the festive illuminations throughout Copenhagen’s city center are switched on — including Strøget and Købmagergade. The Copenhagen Boys’ Choir will sing Christmas into the air from Hotel d’Angleterre’s balcony, as the first skaters take to the ice. Later that evening, the skating rink will transform into Copenhagen’s most festive dance floor with Pepsi Silent Disco. Tickets for the skating rink can be booked online.

Program – Opening Day: Friday, November 14, 2025

3:00 PM – The winter stalls open with unique gastro vendors.
4:45 PM – The Copenhagen Boys’ Choir performs from Hotel d’Angleterre.
5:00 PM – Lighting of Hotel d’Angleterre’s iconic Christmas decorations, opening of the skating rink, and illumination of the city’s holiday lights.
6:00–9:00 PM – Pepsi Silent Disco on the skating rink.
