Århusgade District Street Festival

On Saturday, 12 September, something special happens on Århusgade in Nordhavn. The street is closed to traffic and opens up as a street festival filled with people, music, and experiences. Cafés, restaurants, cultural venues, and small independent shops spill out onto the pavements, bringing life to the street and turning it into a shared space.

Stroll among market stalls and outdoor seating, take a seat at the long communal table in the middle of the street, discover hidden treasures at the flea market, or stop by the main stage where live music sets the mood. Throughout the day, it all builds up to the Open Parade - a colourful procession moving through the street and bringing everyone together.

Myths and Bricks

The street festival also opens up new stories about Nordhavn. At The Living Archive, past and present come together in a pop-up exhibition featuring stories from the district. At the Myth Workshop, visitors can help shape The Myth of Copenhagen through collaborative writing, while an urban experience space invites them to explore the area through an audio-guided walk, a photo exhibition presented in a vintage slot machine and other experiences.
